Dear Silverlit Legal Department,
On December 21, 2006 I ordered what I thought was a PicooZ remote control helicopter from Hobbytron.com. I was so excited to see my husband's face when he opened his gift on Christmas morning because it was all he talked about for months.
I even paid an extra $25 to have the helicopter shipped overnight so that I'd have it for Christmas. I received it the next day and, much to my disappointment, realized that what was advertised as a PiccoZ helicopter by Hobbytron.com was, in fact, an imposter!
Hobbytron.com has blatantly misrepresented their product on their website and unjustly mislead their customers into believing that they were getting a quality PicooZ helicopter.
I have tried to contact them on at least five occasions, but to no avail. When directed to the returns department, no one answers the phone and their voice mailbox is full, so I cannot leave a message. Hobbytron.com's product is of poor quality and I only hope that they will be made to pay for such disgraceful business practices. Jackie Capodanno .

Dear silverlit,
You may already be aware of this, but KSL news (a SLC-based news channel) did a report on HobbyTron and their ‘Picco z’. See here: http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=148&sid=705017
So if I thought I was buying a Picco z from hobbytron, and instead got the illegal version, what rights do I have to get a full refund?
I’ve tried calling HobbyTron numerous times to find out about return policies, as well as why I have only received 2 of the 4 that were ordered, but they never answer.
Thanks Mark

Dear Silverlit Legal Department,
Thank you for posting the warning on your website. One of the biggest resellers of these counterfeits in the USA is at www.hobbytron.com
I just ordered what I thought was a genuine SilverLit Picoo Z mini helicopter. Instead what I received was a "Pico Z" mini helicopter which is a cheap knock off.
Unfortunately I have opened the box already, and didn't look close enough at the name until I realized how poorly it worked. One thing that might help your customers is to list a few legitimate resellers of your product from different countries. Free advertisement for them, but also an excellent way of combating the counterfeiters.
They have a report from a local news station KSL tv looping on their website. I'm going to report it to them. I wonder what they would think about reporting a reseller of counterfeit goods.
Thank you!

Hello,
I first purchased a Microcopter X before I knew there were imitations of the real PicooZ. It works sorta OK, but is hard to control and not terribly satisfying even after much practice. Next, thinking I was getting the real thing I bought a "PiccoZ" (or "PicoZ") from Hobbytron.com.
One of the struts between the main rotor and the stabilizer was broken, and even after a repair (which didn't last long) the unit shook terribly and the control unit was faulty. It would cut in and out, and was especially difficult when throttling down; it would cut the power so quickly (despite how carefully the control was moved) that the copter would fall to the ground for lack of lift.
I've kept the Microcopter X since I had it awhile before I knew it was a fraud. The one from Hobbytron.com is going back as soon as then send me an RMA. I have a true PicooZ on order and hope to receive it soon. I'm eager to find out how they're really supposed to work!

Dear sirs.
It seems i was a victim of some copy cat picooz,s On 12/03 i purchased a picooz helicopter from are local radio shack. It worked so good and was so much fun i wanted the get more of them to give as Christmas gifts. I could not find any more in the stores so i thy ed to find them on line.
I did buy three more from www.hobbytron.com a site with the silverlit logo, and two more from minirctoy.com.Thy come in box's marked picoz and mine helicopter 607 in that same order.
On Christmas day we were in for a big disappointment. All five of these helicopter fly like a piece of junk. They all had vibration problems, the controls would stick or the unit would take off all by it self. By the end of the day all five of the new helicopters were broken or could not fly anymore. My radio shack piccooz is still working great and i am going to fly it when i done with this e-mail. I hope you can go after these people and stop them from selling such trash.
Good luck.
