Complaint about counterfeit PicooZ |
||
I bought my 10-year-old son what I thought was a
Silverlit PicooZ helicopter for Hanukah. This was the
only really big gift my husband and I got him (we're
having a lean year and this was the splurge), butwe
knew he'd be really excited about it since he's been
begging for an RC flying machine for a very long time.
He has been very frustrated since receiving it, since it won't fly straight or forward no matter what. It just goes in circles, no matter how much he (or my husband) try to adjust the trim. And, today, the pin that holds the rotor popped off. This has been a very disappointing experience, to say the least. We ordered it on December 7th from Hobbytron.com for $39 plus $7 shipping. We have tried to contact them about the problems to no avail. No one answers their phone and the only email address I have cannot be replied to. My partner at work had also ordered one (for her husband as a Christmas present) and that one doesn't fly at all. So, today, I went online to see if there have been complaints about this toy. That's when I discovered that there are all these counterfeit copies, including ours. I don't know what to do about this one. I've called my bank to dispute the charge. But that doesn't do anything to rectify things for my son, whose only Hanukah gift of consequence is a frustrating piece of crap. Live and learn. Please let me know when and where we can get him a real one. We'd really like to make it up to him. Many thanks, Mori Mickelson Quoted from Mori Mickelson on 30 December 2006 |
